You are a HERPETOLOGIST on a mission!

What in the world is a herpetologist?
A herpetologist is a person who studies amphibians.
Amphibians are creatures with a backbone and internal skeleton, who live part of their lives in the water and part on land, like
frogs!

MISSION
You are on a five day mission to learn about different types of frogs in the world. You will have a different job to complete each day in your search for information. You will keep a journal of your findings. Label each page of your journal for each day of the assignment. You will have a total of 5 pages for 5 days of research. Listed below are your assignments for the week. 

Day 1:
1. Identify each of the six different kinds of frogs pictured on the
Process page(click on the word Process to see the pictures). Write out a description of what each frog looks like (color, size, etc.) and where on earth are they mostly found.
2. Play the frog matching game!

Day 2:
Draw a picture of a frog and a toad and label or describe at least five differences between the two.

Day 3:
Write a paragraph describing how to tell the difference between a poisonous frog and a non-poisonous one and explain where the poison comes from.

Day 4:
Draw and label the stages of the life-cycle of a frog on a poster you create on Glogster.(click here to go to website.)

Day 5:
You are to discover a new breed of frog, print off a picture of it and be able to tell where they live as well as 3 other fun facts about your new frog. You will then present this information to the class.
